THE MESSIAH

Galatians 4:4-5

 

“But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.”

 

In addition to the tough times that followed the rebuilding of Jerusalem, Israel and the known world had been dominated by three of the four powers … Babylon, Medes and Persians, and Greece … revealed to Nebuchadnezzar in a dream (Daniel 2). But now Rome, the most brutal of the four powers, was in control. It was at this time in history that God would send His Son to not only redeem Israel but also the Gentiles so that they, too, could be adopted as sons into His family and kingdom.

The events and miracles in the life of Christ are too voluminous to include here, but let's try to summarize a few that are significant in the following categories:
